Relief package to be announced in budget: Rana Sanaullah

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th May, 2026) Adviser to Prime Minister on Political and Public Affairs Senator Rana Sanaullah Khan said that the government firmly believed in the complete protection of political and democratic rights of youth, dismissing rumors regarding withdrawal of voting rights from young people as baseless and misleading.

Talking to media persons after inaugurating an International Kabaddi Stadium at Chak No.3-JB Ramdewali on Sargodha Road, he said that no amendment regarding voters’ age limit was under consideration and the government remained fully committed to safeguarding constitutional and democratic rights of the youth.

He said that the upcoming Federal budget would provide major relief to the masses and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif would formally announce the public-friendly package soon.

Rana Sanaullah Khan said that the government was taking concrete measures for public welfare, economic stability, youth empowerment, promotion of sports and sustainable peace in the country. Coming days would bring further stability, development and prosperity for Pakistan, he added.

Highlighting the importance of sports, he said that Kabaddi was an integral part of Punjab’s culture and rural traditions. He said that Faisalabad particularly this constituency had produced outstanding Kabaddi players who represented Pakistan at national and international levels and brought laurels to the country.

He termed establishment of the International Kabaddi Stadium a historic gift for local residents, saying it would provide better opportunities to young players to polish their talent.

He said that Punjab government was seriously working to engage the youth in sports activities and strengthen sports infrastructure across the province.

He said that sports not only channelised physical energy in a constructive manner but also promoted discipline, tolerance, unity and leadership qualities among youngsters.

He said that strengthening democratic traditions was need of the hour and dialogue, debate and expression of opinion on national issues reflected the beauty of democracy.

He stressed the need for tolerance of differing opinions to ensure a healthy political environment.

Discussing the economic situation, Rana Sanaullah Khan said that the government was preparing a comprehensive strategy to provide maximum relief to inflation-hit segments of the society in the upcoming budget.

Measures were being finalized to directly benefit the common man, he added.

He expressed optimism that Pakistan’s economy was showing clear signs of improvement and more positive results would emerge in coming months.

He said that inflation, unemployment and economic pressure would gradually decline while investment and business activities would increase, creating new job opportunities.

He said that the objective of government economic policies was not merely improvement in statistics but bringing about real relief to the common man.

If regional peace further improved and relations between Iran and the United States moved towards stability, prices of petroleum products and gas could also decline, resulting in greater public relief and enhanced economic activity, he added.

Referring to regional and international affairs, he said that Pakistan’s political and military leadership was playing an effective role for promotion of peace in the region.

The world was looking towards Pakistan for peace, stability and dialogue due to its policy of moderation, mutual respect and peaceful engagement, he added.

He said that Pakistan’s prestige had further increased after success in Marka-e-Haq, adding that the Muslim world was now viewing Pakistan with extraordinary confidence, reflecting national unity, political stability and strong leadership.

He said that Pakistan was a strong nuclear power fully capable of defending its sovereignty, security and national interests. He reiterated that the country desired peace but would never compromise on its sovereignty and public interest.

He said that the government was determined to eliminate poverty, inflation and unemployment through practical and long-term measures.

He said that maximum opportunities for healthcare, education, employment and development would be ensured for the people so that a real change could be brought in the lives of common citizens.

Rana Sanaullah Khan expressed confidence that Pakistan would emerge as a stronger economy in future and attract people from across the world for trade, investment and employment opportunities.

He urged the public to remain optimistic, strengthen unity and trust the country’s development process, saying that Pakistan was entering a new era of stability, progress and prosperity.
