Regional Ombudsman visits District Jail Shaheed Benazirabad

NAWABSHAH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Apr, 2026) Regional Director Ombudsman, Shaheed Benazirabad, Khan Muhammad Zardari, visited District Jail Shaheed Benazirabad on Monday. On this occasion, he inspected various sections of the jail and reviewed the facilities being provided to inmates.

The Regional Director also met with prisoners and listened to their concerns.

He directed jail administration to treat inmates with compassion and ensure the provision of all basic facilities in accordance with the Jail Manual.

RD emphasized promoting reformative measures within prisons so that inmates can become productive members of society.

During the visit, Jail Superintendent Ghulam Rasool Mashori briefed the Regional Director on ongoing administrative matters, security arrangements, and facilities being provided to prisoners.

Regional Director Ombudsman assured that the Ombudsman institution would continue to play its role in resolving prisoners’ issues and ensuring redressal of complaints.

On this occasion, Additional Director of Social Welfare Murtaza Gohar, Information Officer Sher Muhammad Jamali, Assistant Jail Superintendent Sada Hussain Zardari, and other relevant officials were also present.
