Re-polling on seven polling stations in PB-36 Kalat to be held on March 10

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Feb, 2026) The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced that re-polling will be conducted at seven polling stations in constituency PB-36 Kalat of the Balochistan Provincial Assembly on March 10, 2026, according to an official notification.

Commissioner of Balochistan, Ali Asghar Sial, administered the oath to Deputy Commissioner Kalat, Munir Ahmed Durrani, appointing him as the District Returning Officer (DRO). The oath-taking ceremony marked a key administrative step in the electoral process.

Speaking on the occasion, the Provincial Election Commissioner emphasized that all necessary arrangements are being finalized to ensure the re-polling is conducted in a transparent, impartial, and fair manner.

He emphasized that the ECP is undertaking comprehensive measures, including the training of polling staff deployed in Kalat, timely provision of election materials, and thorough administrative and security preparations.

Ali Asghar Sial further noted that, in coordination with the district administration, police, and other relevant departments, efforts are being made to provide voters with a free, transparent, and peaceful environment to exercise their right to vote without hindrance.

The re-polling in PB-36 Kalat will be held under strict monitoring to uphold the integrity of the electoral process.
