RCCI explores opportunities to promote tourism

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Jun, 2026) Business leaders and tourism stakeholders step up collaboration efforts to explore opportunities in tourism sector.

President Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) Usman Shaukat, in a meeting with CEO Pakistan Travel Mart and Sustainable Destinations Forum, Syed Muhammad Ali Hamdani, discussed avenues of cooperation aimed at strengthening the country’s tourism landscape, officials said.

The discussion focused on promoting sustainable destination development, an area increasingly seen as vital for long-term growth of the tourism sector. Both sides highlighted the need to align business initiatives with global trends focusing on responsible and eco-friendly travel.

They also explored opportunities for expanding business networking and organising joint events, exhibitions and forums that could connect local enterprises with international stakeholders, officials added.

RCCI officials believe such collaborations can play a key role in unlocking Pakistan’s tourism potential by improving destination management, attracting investment and creating employment opportunities, particularly in underexplored regions.

Both sides also noted that partnerships between chambers of commerce and tourism platforms could enhance Pakistan’s visibility on the global stage and help build a more structured and resilient tourism economy.
