RCCI calls for reduction in bureaucratic hurdles to strengthen economy

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th May, 2026) President of Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), Usman Shaukat has called for reducing bureaucratic hurdles to empower businesses and strengthen Pakistan’s economy.

Addressing the National Taxpayers Convention 2026, he highlighted the challenges faced by businessmen and entrepreneurs due to complex procedures and regulatory barriers.

He said that unnecessary delays and excessive bureaucratic requirements were discouraging investment, innovation and overall economic growth in the country.

Usman Shaukat stressed the need for business-friendly policies, adding that simplifying procedures and improving ease of doing business would help boost investor confidence and support sustainable economic development.

He urged policymakers to take practical steps to facilitate the business community and remove obstacles hindering economic progress.
