Rawalpindi reports no serious pollen allergy situation, says DHO

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Mar, 2026) The health authorities in Rawalpindi have said that no serious situation regarding pollen allergy has been reported in the district, unlike Islamabad, where seasonal pollen alerts are issued.

District Health Officer Dr Jawad, in a brief interaction with APP, clarified that Rawalpindi is not currently facing any significant threat from pollen allergies.

However, he advised citizens, particularly those with respiratory sensitivities, to take precautionary measures and avoid exposure to excessive dust and airborne particles during the season.

He further urged the public to adopt preventive practices, including wearing masks in dusty environments and limiting outdoor exposure when air quality is poor, to reduce the risk of allergies and respiratory irritation.
