Ramazan Nigehban Cards reach 378000 deserving families in Multan division

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Mar, 2026) Commissioner Aamir Kareem Khan was informed here Wednesday that officials were reaching out to the deserving families to deliver Ramazan Nigehban ATM Cards across Multan division, covering so far 378,000 out of targeted over 487,000 families.

Commissioner Khan was chairing a review meeting on Ramazan arrangements, with a detailed briefing focusing on the distribution of Ramazan Cards, Dastarkhwan, Sahulat Bazaars, besides sugar and Atta sale points and price control mechanism to provide relief to the people in Multan division.

Commissioner directed that the remaining cards be delivered transparently and without delay to ensure maximum relief during the holy month.

Deputy Commissioners briefed the commissioner on steps taken to facilitate citizens.

Aamir Kareem Khan was informed that multiple inspections have been conducted, heavy fines amounting to millions imposed, several arrests made and shops sealed, while thousands of profiteers have been issued warnings.

The meeting was informed that 34 Dastarkhwans were operational across the division, benefiting over 12,000 people daily. Five Sahulat Bazaars were attracting around 14,000 citizens every day availing benefit of subsidized rates.

Officials also reported that flour is being supplied at 235 points, while sugar is being provided at five designated sale points at government rates. Monitoring of vegetable and fruit markets, including auction processes and price regulation, is being carried out on a daily basis.

In addition, cleaning of 4,775 major mosques has been completed, while beautification and branding of Ramazan arrangements at 57 locations across the division have also been finalized.

Officers of relevant departments attended the meeting.
