ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain, windstorms, thunderstorms, and isolated hailstorms in several parts of the country over the next 24 hours.
Authorities have cautioned that strong winds, lightning, and hail may pose risks to weak infrastructure, including solar panels, electricity poles, and billboards, urging the public to take precautionary measures.
According to the forecast, rain accompanied by windstorms and thunderstorms is expected at isolated locations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, upper Sindh, and northern and northeastern Balochistan.
Heavy rainfall is also likely in isolated areas of northeastern Balochistan and southern Punjab, while most other regions are expected to remain hot and dry.

In Islamabad and adjoining areas, partly cloudy conditions with chances of rain and thunderstorms have been predicted.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, scattered rain-windstorms, thunderstorms, and isolated heavy rainfall with hail are expected across several districts, including Dir, Chitral, Swat, Kohistan, Malakand, Bajaur, Shangla, Battagram, Buner, Kohat, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, Mohmand, Khyber, Waziristan, Orakzai, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi, Hangu, and Kurram.
In Punjab, dust storms, thunderstorms, isolated heavy rainfall, and hail are likely in multiple districts, including Rawalpindi, Murree, Galliyat, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, and others across central and southern parts of the province.
Most districts of Sindh are expected to remain hot and dry; however, partly cloudy weather with isolated rain and thunderstorms may occur in Kashmore, Jacobabad, Sukkur, Ghotki, Shikarpur, Larkana, and Dadu. Karachi and adjoining areas may receive light rain accompanied by gusty winds.
In Balochistan, mainly hot and dry conditions are expected, although isolated rain and thunderstorms may affect areas including Zhob, Sherani, Musa Khel, Kohlu, Naseerabad, Sibi, Khuzdar, and nearby regions.
Partly cloudy weather with rain and thunderstorms is also expected in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, with isolated heavy rainfall and hail likely in parts of Kashmir.
Citizens have been advised to remain cautious, as strong winds, hail, and lightning may damage vulnerable structures during the forecast period.
