Rain disrupts routine life, road traffic in Shangla

SHANGLA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) The routine life was disrupted in various areas of Shangla due to continuous rains that lashed the district for fourth consecutive day.

Rain and hailstorm also affected crops and orchards of peach, plums and apples besides increasing water level in local nullahs and streams.

Rains also triggered landslides in Alpuri, Khawazakhela, Chakaisar, Karora, Pooran and Bisham road disrupting road traffic and normal life.

Meanwhile, district administration has started working to open closed road and evacuate people being stranded on various roads of the district.

The electricity distribution system was also affected as rains damaged various small power generation units and supplying channels.

Locals have urged authorities to help people of these areas and timely start rehabilitation activities to provide relief to affected population.
