LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th May, 2026) Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi visited the Carriage Workshop and Loco Workshop Mughalpura on Friday, where he reviewed ongoing manufacturing work and inspected coaches being prepared for automobile transportation.
During the visit, the minister emphasized that no compromise should be made on the quality and manufacturing standards of railway coaches. He also conducted a detailed review of specially designed coaches developed for the transportation of automobiles.
Muhammad Hanif Abbasi stressed the importance of maintaining high standards in procurement and the supply of spare parts, directing officials to ensure quality compliance at every stage of production.

He stated that workers were the most important part of Pakistan Railways and served as the backbone of the entire railway system. He assured that the benefits of ongoing railway reforms would ultimately reach the workforce.
The Railway Minister and CEO Pakistan Railways also planted a sapling during the visit as part of an environmental initiative.
