Railway's new CEO/Sr GM Hafeezullah assumes charge

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Apr, 2026) Pakistan Railways’ newly appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Senior General Manager (BS-22), Muhammad Hafeezullah, assumed charge of his office on Wednesday.

Muhammad Hafeezullah, a BS-21 officer from the Civil Engineering Department of Pakistan Railways, was previously serving as General Manager (W&SI) at the Pakistan Railways Headquarters in Lahore.

His appointment as CEO/Senior General Manager has been made following approval by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif under Section 10 of the Civil Servants Act, 1973.

According to official notification, his posting will be for a period of one year or until the appointment of a regular incumbent, whichever occurs earlier.

The position became vacant after former CEO/Senior General Manager Amir Baloch proceeded on ex-Pakistan leave.
