Quetta District education group reviews school performance, teachers' attendance

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jul, 2026) A meeting of the District Education Group Quetta was held here on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Meherullah Badini, to review educational affairs, revival of non-functional schools, teacher availability, and overall school performance across the district.

The session was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), District Education Officers (male and female), relevant Deputy District Officers (DDOs), RTSM representatives, and other officials.

Officials informed the meeting that out of 150 non-functional schools in the district, 128 have been fully restored, while efforts were underway to activate the remaining schools.

Detailed data was also presented regarding institutions facing shortages of teaching staff.

The RTSM presented a monitoring report highlighting that inquiries have been initiated against 35 teachers found to be consistently absent from duty.

Deputy Commissioner, Mehrullah Badini directed that teaching activities in all government schools must be made more effective, teacher attendance ensured, and all available resources utilized to provide quality education to students.
