QUEST hosts open forum with laborers on occasion of Labor Day

NAWABSHAH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2026) Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology, for the first time in the history of Nawabshah, organized an open forum with laborers on the occasion of International Labor Day.

Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Saleem Raza Samo, met with the university’s workers, listened to their concerns, and shared lunch with them.

Addressing the ceremony, Vice Chancellor said that workers are the backbone of any institution’s progress, and through their hard work, honesty, and dedication, organizations move forward.

He said that university administration is taking all possible steps to ensure the welfare of workers, protection of their rights, and provision of better facilities.

Speaking on the occasion, worker representative Atta Chandio said that workers are valuable asset to the institution, and it is due to their tireless efforts that university system runs smoothly.

He paid tribute to their commitment and services, adding that their dignity, safety, and welfare remain a top priority for the administration.

Meanwhile, the workers expressed that the Vice Chancellor sitting and dining with them conveyed a strong message of equality, respect, and solidarity.
