Karachi, March 13, 2026: The Karachi Traffic Police have announced a special traffic plan for Quds Day, with several major roads set to be closed from 12:00 PM onward today.

Officials claim that traffic between Boat Basin and Jinnah Bridge and Boat Basin and Mai Kolachi will be totally stagnant. Also, the PIDC to Jinnah Bridge and M.T. Khan Road will be closed to facilitate unhindered control of the Quds Day processions.

Traffic in Boat Basin towards Mai Kolachi will be diverted through U-turns and traffic moving between PIDC and Jinnah Bridge will use Khajoor Chowk. The cars that were heading between Jinnah Bridge will be redirected to I.I. Chundrigar Road.

Commuters have been encouraged by the traffic police to organize their path and use official diversion signs to prevent wastage of time. Traffic restrictions across the city also encourage residents to leave an additional traveling time during peak hours.

Key Highlights:

  • Roads closed from 12 PM: Boat Basin → Jinnah Bridge, Boat Basin → Mai Kolachi
  • PIDC → Jinnah Bridge & M.T. Khan Road also closed
  • Diversions: PIDC traffic → Khajoor Chowk, Jinnah Bridge traffic → I.I. Chundrigar Road

Stay tuned for updates from Karachi Traffic Police on any further road closures or changes during the Quds Day processions.
