Punjab Police's grand operation against Katcha dacoits continues

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Feb, 2026) Punjab Police have been conducting a grand operation against absconder dacoits in Katcha area of Rojhan for the past two months.

SDPO Abdul Karim said that during the police operation against absconder dacoits in Kacha, firing from modern technology is also being carried out on the hideouts of criminals.

Under the solid strategy of the police, 12 more absconder dacoits, including the operatives of Tanveer Andhir gang, Bekhrani gang and Bannu gang, who are considered a symbol of terror, have surrendered.

He said that the surrendered criminals are wanted in Rahim Yar Khan, Rajanpur and other cities for several incidents including kidnapping for ransom, murder, robbery, and police killings.

The number of declared dacoits arrested so far has exceeded 400.

The SDPO has warned that declared dacoits who challenge the writ of law should surrender to the police or else they will be killed.
