CHINIOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Feb, 2026) In a proactive step to promote women’s rights and curb violence against women, Chiniot Police on Thursday organized an awareness seminar at Government Graduate College to strengthen the sense of safety among female students. District Police Officer Dr. Naveed Atif, Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan, ladies police officials, college administration, and a large number of students attended the informative session.

Addressing the gathering, DPO Dr. Naveed Atif, Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan, and Sub-Inspector Shumaila Shahzadi comprehensively briefed students about police services dedicated to women’s protection.

Furthermore, participants were introduced to the Women Safety App, the Anti-Women Harassment and Violence Cell, the Virtual Women Police Station, and Emergency Helpline 15, thereby highlighting the institutional mechanisms available for immediate assistance.

The students were clearly guided on how to download and effectively use the Women Safety App; moreover, officials elaborated on the operational framework of the Anti-Women Harassment Cell and the role of Victim Support Officers at police stations.

In addition, the DPO shed light on various forms of harassment, including cyber harassment in the digital age, and informed students about approaching Punjab Police and other relevant forums in case of any complaint.

Speaking on the occasion, DPO Dr. Naveed Atif and Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan categorically stated that incidents of domestic violence, harassment, and abuse against women would not be tolerated under any circumstances. They emphasized that all necessary measures are being taken to prevent such crimes; consequently, women can approach the Anti-Women Harassment Cell or any police station without fear, as ensuring women’s safety remains an uncompromising priority.
