LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Jul, 2026) A consultative session with stakeholders was held at a local hotel under the Punjab Skills Development Fund. Chairperson of the Punjab Skills Development Task Force, Adnan Afzal Chattha, was the Chief Guest at the event. Additional Secretary, Department of Skills Development & Entrepreneurship, CEO Punjab Skills Development Fund, Project Director and other relevant officers attended the ceremony. Representatives of Overseas Employment Promoters also participated in the event.

The purpose of this consultative session was to ensure effective implementation of the Chief Minister's Parwaz Card Program, make it result-oriented, and strengthen collaboration with stakeholders.

Addressing the session, Chairperson Skills Development Task Force Adnan Afzal Chattha said that Punjab is a province of 150 million people, a large portion of whom is youth. The Chief Minister Punjab's Parwaz Card Program will change the destiny of the province's youth.

Through the Parwaz Card, skilled youth with limited resources are being provided interest-free loans for employment abroad.

He said, "We have to make this program successful through collective efforts with stakeholders." He added that Overseas Employment Promoters are ambassadors of the state and are highly respected by them.

The government is ready to provide every possible support to Overseas Employment Promoters.

Adnan Afzal Chattha further said that the government's focus is on preparing a skilled workforce according to the needs of the global market. Training courses have been aligned with modern requirements.

Similarly, labs of technical educational institutions are being upgraded at a cost of billions of rupees. He requested Overseas Employment Promoters to give suggestions for further improving the quality of technical training, and assured that their suggestions will be implemented.

He informed that Chinese, German, Arabic and Korean language courses are being conducted in technical educational institutions. He said that Pakistanis residing abroad send $41 billion in remittances every year. "We want this remittance amount to reach $150 billion. This target can only be achieved through collective efforts."

During the consultative session, it was informed that under the Parwaz Card Program, 45,000 semi-skilled and skilled youth across the province will be provided interest-free loans through the Bank of Punjab.

At the end of the event, a Q&A session was held in which Adnan Afzal Chattha and other senior officials gave satisfactory answers to the questions.
