Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Azma Bokhari has strongly criticized statements made by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) spokespersons, urging them to choose their words carefully and show respect for their elders
LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jul, 2026) Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Azma Bokhari has strongly criticized statements made by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) spokespersons, urging them to choose their words carefully and show respect for their elders.
In a statement issued on Friday, Azma Bokhari said it was ironic that "those born out of a blackmailing mandate are now taunting us." She alleged that PPP leaders repeatedly mocked a person old enough to be their father by making faces and chanting "Raiwind, Raiwind," questioning whether they considered such behaviour respectful.
The provincial minister said PPP leaders had collectively turned Raiwind into a subject of ridicule and routinely insulted senior individuals through their gestures and remarks.

Azma Bokhari also said that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was not beyond criticism and accused him of repeatedly mentioning the Names of Punjab's cities in his speeches to spread what she termed falsehoods and misleading propaganda. She questioned whether such conduct was serious or appropriate.
