LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th May, 2026) Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique on Sunday visited the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute (PKLI) to meet three patients suffering from chronic hereditary kidney disease and their families on the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
During the visit, the provincial health minister also directed doctors and medical staff to ensure the best possible treatment facilities for the patients.
Speaking on the occasion, Khawaja Salman Rafique said that under the directions of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, three patients from Chilas district had been shifted to PKLI for advanced medical treatment.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>The patients include 50-year-old Shahina, wife of Sabir Hussain, 12-year-old Sanaullah, son of Sabir Hussain, and 14-year-old Attaullah, son of Sabir Hussain. All three belong to Satnian village of Chilas tehsil and district and are suffering from hereditary kidney disease.
The minister said Secretary Specialized Healthcare and Medical education Azmat Mahmood was also personally monitoring the treatment and medical care of the patients to ensure they receive the best healthcare services.
