LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Jul, 2026) The Punjab Health Department has rejected as baseless and fabricated a news report aired by a private television channel regarding postgraduate training in the second fellowship, clarifying that the report is contrary to the facts.
According to a spokesperson for the Punjab Health Department on Saturday, the department has taken steps to ensure the quality of medical institutions and has issued a letter in this regard. The spokesperson said graduates of Punjab's medical institutions are earning recognition for Pakistan across the world.
The department clarified that candidates of both the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) and universities are eligible for second fellowship training, adding that the Punjab government has ensured equal opportunities for FCPS and university candidates in university degree programmes.
