Punjab govt taking special measures to curb malaria:CM

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Apr, 2026) Punjab Chief Minister(CM)Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Saturday said that malaria was a dangerous but preventable and treatable disease,stressing the need for collective efforts to eliminate it.

In her message on World Malaria Day,she emphasized that unity and coordinated action were essential for its eradication, adding that the Government of Punjab has introduced special measures,including free testing facilities, to help control and prevent its spread.

The CM underscored the importance of preventive healthcare and public awareness,urging citizens to adopt precautionary measures to protect themselves from malaria.

CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that every individual and every family in Punjab remains the government’s top priority, adding that safeguarding public health was the core mission of her administration.

She said the Punjab government was committed to strengthening healthcare services and ensuring effective disease prevention across the province.
