Punjab expanding horticulture authorities to beautify cities: DG PHA

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Jun, 2026) Director General Punjab Horticulture Authority (PHA) Mansoor Ahmad Raja said that horticulture

authorities were being established in different cities across Punjab to accelerate beautification

and ensure a healthier environment for citizens.

He expressed these views during his visit to Multan on Saturday, where he reviewed ongoing beautification and development projects being executed by the Horticulture Agency Multan.

Managing Director Horticulture Agency Multan Syed Wasim Hassan received the DG and briefed him on various initiatives, including the improvement of parks, green belts and roadside plantations being undertaken under a coordinated strategy.

During the visit, Mansoor Ahmad Raja inspected Eidgah Park and several green belts to assess the pace and quality of development work.

Speaking on the occasion, he said the Punjab government was committed to transforming cities into greener and more attractive urban centres. He added that the establishment of more horticulture authorities would help accelerate plantation campaigns and beautification projects throughout the province.

The DG directed officials to further enhance plantation activities in parks and green belts and urged other agencies to emulate the performance and working model of the Horticulture Agency Multan.

He appreciated the efforts of Managing Director Syed Wasim Hassan and his team, stating that the agency was working with an integrated and result-oriented strategy to improve the city's landscape and civic environment.

MD Horticulture Agency Multan Syed Wasim Hassan said beautification projects were being completed through public-private partnerships in line with the green vision of Chief Minister Punjab. He added that the guidance and leadership of Commissioner Multan had played a key role in making the city greener, cleaner and more beautiful.

Director Administration and Finance Muhammad Nadeem Malik, Director Engineering Adnan Butt, Director Horticulture Saad Qureshi and other officers were also present on the occasion.
