LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Apr, 2026) The Punjab government has approved a series of development projects for the upcoming fiscal year to improve urban infrastructure and public services across the province.

A total of 12 development schemes were approved, covering major projects in Lahore, Faisalabad, Jhelum and Murree.
According to official details, two disposal stations were approved in the Ganj Bakhsh Zone of WASA Lahore, while six development schemes of LDA Lahore also received approval. The projects include remodeling of Toky Wala Chowk and Shadbagh Chowk in Lahore, along with upgradation of Sher Shah Road, Peco Road and Main Manga Mandi Road.
Similarly, schemes for improvement of roads and streets in Millat Town, Faisalabad, were also approved.
In addition, a research and development scheme under WASA Punjab has been sanctioned. Approval was also granted for installation of pumping machinery for a water supply scheme in Murree under Public Health Engineering, as well as regulation of water supply in Pind Dadan Khan, Jhelum.
A spokesperson for the Housing Department said the approved projects would significantly contribute to public convenience and welfare.
Additional Secretary Technical Umar Farooq, Chief Engineer Public Health Anwarul Haq and other senior officers attended the meeting.
