Public complaints being addressed promptly, says Ombudsman advisor

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th May, 2026) Acting on the directives of the Provincial Ombudsman Punjab, Advisor to the Ombudsman Multan Mahmood Javed Bhatti, along with Advisor Waqar Hussain, addressed an awareness seminar at Maham Science school, Sameeja Abad.

They also received public complaints at Union Council No. 63, Piran Ghaib Road, Multan, where on-the-spot instructions were issued for the resolution of citizens’ grievances.

Assistant Associate Muaz Hassan Bakhtiar from the Regional Office of the Ombudsman Punjab Multan also participated in the seminar.

Speaking on the occasion, Mahmood Javed Bhatti stated that the Office of the Provincial Ombudsman Punjab is actively working for the prompt redressal of public complaints related to all provincial government departments. He highlighted that citizens can lodge complaints without hiring a lawyer, and their issues are resolved within a short period after registration.

He further informed participants that citizens may submit complaints against any provincial department either at the Regional Ombudsman Office or the Head Office in Lahore through postal services. Applicants are notified about hearing dates and timings via SMS alerts sent to their registered mobile numbers.

Bhatti also briefed the audience about the objectives, vision, effectiveness, and performance of the Provincial Ombudsman institution, emphasizing that regional offices across Punjab are striving to deliver justice at the doorstep of the public in accordance with the Ombudsman’s vision and directives.

A large number of citizens attended the open court session, where complaints were formally registered and assurances were given for timely resolution. Participants appreciated the efforts and public service initiatives of the Office of the Ombudsman Punjab.
