The court questioned the investigating officer, asking what recovery or progress had been made despite the accused having remained in custody for 16 days.

The investigating officer informed the court that Dewan was present at the scene and was allegedly involved in delivering speeches and participating in acts of arson and vandalism at Sherpao Bridge.

After hearing the arguments, the court declined the request for further physical remand and ordered that Ghulam Mohiuddin Dewan be sent to jail on a 14-day judicial remand.
