PTI Lawmakers get post-arrest bails in Red Zone riots case

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Feb, 2026) The Anti-Terrorism Court on Thursday granted post-arrest bail to MNA Shafqat Awan and MNA Umar Aslam, MPA Rafat Shah, Sarfaraz Dogar, Malik Asad and Tayyab Rashid, who were arrested in the Red Zone riot case.

Judge Abual Hasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain heard the case. The court granted post-arrest bail to the accused MNA Shafqat Awan and MNA Umar Aslam.

The court also granted bail to MPA Rafat Shah, Sarfaraz Dogar, Malik Asad and Tayyab Rashid. The court granted bail to the accused against surety bonds of Rs 10,000 each.

A case has been registered against the accused under 11 sections including terrorism, attempt to murder. The accused are accused of rioting, firing on police personnel, snatching weapons and threatening with serious consequences.

The case alleged that the accused damaged government vehicles and created an atmosphere of fear and panic.
