PTA is also considering issuing licenses to all three telecom companies at same time.

Mobile phone users in Pakistan may soon be able to use 5G services, as the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) is expected to issue 5G licenses to telecom operators next week. This development could allow the new mobile service to begin before Eid-ul-Fitr.

After the recent 5G spectrum auction, the PTA has sped up preparations to grant the licenses. Officials say the licenses have already been prepared, which will help telecom companies quickly move forward with launching the next-generation mobile network.

The telecom regulator has instructed companies to complete all legal requirements before receiving the licenses. As part of the conditions, each company must submit a bank guarantee of 15 million dollars. Officials stated that one company has already submitted the guarantee, while the other two companies are expected to do so soon.

The PTA is also considering issuing licenses to all three telecom companies at the same time, as operators are preparing to roll out 5G services rapidly across the country.
