PSX turns bearish, loses 318 points

The benchmark KSE-100 Index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) turned around to bearish trend on Wednesday, losing 318.64 points, a negative change of 0.20 percent, closing at 155,858.48 points against 156,177.12 points on the last trading day

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Mar, 2026) The benchmark KSE-100 Index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) turned around to bearish trend on Wednesday, losing 318.64 points, a negative change of 0.20 percent, closing at 155,858.48 points against 156,177.12 points on the last trading day.

A total of 441,876,783 shares were traded during the day, as compared to 486,523,635 shares on the previous trading day, whereas the price of shares stood at Rs 24.984 billion against Rs 31.217 billion on the last trading day.

As many as 477 companies transacted their shares in the stock market, 216 of them recorded gains and 201 sustained losses, whereas the share price of 60 companies remained unchanged.

The three top trading companies were Bank of Punjab with 37,706,784 shares at Rs 27.

97 per share, K-Electric Ltd. with 37,690,039 shares at Rs 7.49 per share and Cnergyico PK with 27,351,074 shares at Rs 7.06 per share.

Unilever Pakistan Foods Limited witnessed a maximum increase of Rs 132.20 per share price, closing at Rs 25,255.00, whereas Ismail Industries Limited was the runner-up with a Rs 66.71 rise in its per share price to Rs 1,850.06.

Nestle Pakistan Limited witnessed a maximum decrease of Rs 85.01 to close at Rs 7,814.28, followed by Rafhan Maize Products Company Limited with a decline of Rs 66.86 per share, closing at Rs 9,075.00.

In the futures market, 331 companies recorded trading, out of which shares of 172 companies increased, 158 companies declined whereas 1 company remained unchanged.
