ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Mar, 2026) The benchmark KSE-100 Index of the pakistan stock exchange (PSX) witnessed a massive bearish trend on Monday, losing 16,089.17 points, a negative change of 9.57 percent, to close at 151,973.00 points compared to 168,062.17 points on the previous trading day, according to psx data.
During the session, the ready market recorded a trading volume of 809,550,101 shares with a traded value of Rs 48.512 billion, against 536,241,529 shares valuing Rs 25.540 billion in the previous session. Market capitalization decreased to Rs 17.185 trillion from Rs 18.930 trillion a day earlier.
Out of 483 active companies in the ready market, 21 advanced, 413 declined, and 49 remained unchanged.
K-Electric Limited topped the volume chart with 163,349,544 shares, followed by WorldCall Telecom with 82,602,451 shares and F.
Nat.Equities with 41,849,359 shares.
The top gainers included Supernet Technologies Limited, which rose by Rs 18.70 to close at Rs 1,410.70, and JDW Sugar Mills Limited, which gained Rs 7.48 to settle at Rs 900.00.
On the losing side, Unilever Pakistan Foods Limited declined by Rs 1,371.83 to close at Rs 23,883.17, while PIA Holding Company LimitedB, fell by Rs 944.94 to close at Rs 16,500.00.
In the futures market, turnover stood at 140,744,000 shares with a traded value of Rs 6.928 billion, compared to 594,731,500 shares worth Rs 27.086 billion in the previous session.
Out of 322 futures market companies, all 322 declined.
