ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Mar, 2026) The benchmark KSE-100 Index of the pakistan stock exchange (psx) witnessed turned around to bullish trend on Tuesday, gaining 5,159.10 points, a positive change of 3.39 percent, closing at 157,132.10 points against 151,973.00 points on the last trading day.
A total of 770,695,162 shares were traded during the day as compared to 809,550,101 shares the previous trading day, whereas the price of shares stood at Rs 44.363 billion against Rs 48.512 billion on the last trading day.
As many as 480 companies transacted their shares in the stock market, 213 of them recorded gains and 228 sustained losses, whereas the share price of 39 companies remained unchanged.
The three top trading companies were K-Electric Ltd.
with 74,401,539 shares at Rs 7.29 per share, WorldCall Telecom with 50,045,665 shares at Rs 1.21 per share and Pak Elektron with 38,234,339 shares at Rs 39.33 per share.
PIA Holding Company LimitedB witnessed a maximum increase of Rs 1,189.00 per share price, closing at Rs 17,689.00, whereas Rafhan Maize Products Company Limited was the runner-up with Rs 189.76 rise in its per share price to Rs 9,078.66.
Khyber Textile Mills Limited witnessed a maximum decrease of Rs 105.21 per share closing at Rs 1,318.57, followed by Ismail Industries Limited with Rs 86.25 decline to close at Rs 1,813.75.
In the futures market, 318 companies recorded trading, of which 179 increased, 137 decreased and two remained unchanged.
