KARACHI: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-March 11th, 2026) The trophy for the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League was unveiled on Wednesday during a simple yet dignified ceremony held at the new building of National Stadium Karachi.

Chief Executive Officer of the league, Salman Naseer, attended the event as the chief guest and delivered a welcoming address.

Owners and representatives of several participating franchises were also present at the ceremony, including Nadeem Omar of Quetta Gladiators, Salman Iqbal of Karachi Kings, Atif Rana of Lahore Qalandars, and Ahsan Tahir representing Rawalpindi Pandis.

Speaking on the occasion, Salman Naseer said the Pakistan Super League had entered a new era after completing a decade. He noted that the league had experienced different phases over the past ten years and had now grown into a strong and united sporting family.

“Winning and losing are part of the game, but the league has now grown into a strong tree,” he said, adding that a record eight teams would compete in the upcoming edition.

The 11th edition of the tournament, featuring eight teams, will be played from March 26 to May 10.

A total of 44 matches are scheduled to take place in Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi, Multan and Faisalabad.

The opening match will be played between defending champions Lahore Qalandars and Hyderabad Kingsmen at Gaddafi Stadium.

For the first time in the league’s history, eight teams will participate, including two new franchises: Hyderabad Kingsmen and Rawalpindi Pandis. Matches will be held across six cities, with Faisalabad and Peshawar hosting PSL games for the first time.

Each team will play 10 matches during the league stage, while the playoffs will begin on April 28.

A total of 11 matches, including a qualifier, will be played at Rawalpindi cricket Stadium, while Gaddafi Stadium will host 15 matches.

Seven matches will be played at Iqbal Stadium, which will host PSL matches for the first time. Similarly, Arbab Niaz Stadium will also stage PSL matches for the first time.

Multan Cricket Stadium will host four matches, all featuring Multan Sultans.

Meanwhile, National Stadium Karachi will host six matches. The first match in Karachi will take place on April 8 between Peshawar Zalmi and Hyderabad Kingsmen.
