Provision of sports facilities for youth remains our top priority: MPA Sardar Paras Dero

SANGHAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Apr, 2026) Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) MPA Sardar Paras Dero has said that the party continues to enjoy public support on the basis of its performance and public service, while claims regarding defections of party workers to other political groups are baseless and speculative. He stated that in a democratic system, everyone has the right to hold and express their opinion.

He expressed these views while addressing the inauguration ceremony of a newly constructed cricket ground at the college premises under the Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Government of Sindh.

Sardar Paras Dero said that large-scale development work is underway in his constituency, including major projects such as the Rohri Canal, while efforts are also being made to launch a Peoples Bus Service from Tando Adam to Hyderabad and other routes to facilitate the public.

He stressed that promoting healthy activities among youth is an urgent need of the time, as sports not only improve physical health but also play a vital role in protecting society from the menace of drug abuse. He said that every possible step is being taken to develop sports grounds and stadiums in Tando Adam so that young people can have better opportunities to showcase their talent.

The MPA said that development needs in the city are addressed through collective efforts involving his team, the public, and the media. He highly appreciated the role of the media, stating that journalists play a key role in highlighting public issues and identifying community needs.

Referring to his family background, he said his father always guided him towards public service and a positive mindset, which continues to inspire his commitment to serving the people. He added that after considerable effort, land and initial support for sports facilities have been secured, while efforts are also underway to establish a standard stadium at the public school.

Sardar Paras Dero said it is his vision that talented players from Tando Adam emerge to bring recognition to the city, district, Sindh, and Pakistan at national and international levels. He added that a healthy and dignified society can only be achieved if public representatives, media, and citizens work together to create a positive environment for youth.

He further announced that various sports and social events will be organized at the newly inaugurated ground in the future to engage youth in constructive activities. He reaffirmed his commitment to continue serving the public throughout his life.
