QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jun, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Musakhel, Abdul Razaq Khan Khajak on Wednesday said that providing quality medical facilities to the public was the top priority of the district administration and any kind of negligence in the health sector would not be tolerated.
He said that immediate departmental action would be taken against doctors, paramedical staff and other medical staff who are absent from duty.
He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting of the District Health Committee held at the district headquarters.
The meeting was attended by members of the committee and concerned officials, including District Health Officer (DHO) Dr. Muhammad Hassan Domki.
During the meeting, a detailed review was taken of the public health situation across the district, provision of medical facilities in government hospitals and basic health centers, attendance of medical staff, availability of medicines and implementation of decisions taken in the previous meeting.
Deputy Commissioner Abdul Razaq Khan Khajak said that the Balochistan government was taking vigorous steps to provide better medical facilities to the people at their doorsteps and the district administration would discharge all its responsibilities in this regard in a proper manner.
He said that it is our common responsibility to provide equal health facilities to the people of remote and backward areas, therefore all the concerned officers should discharge their professional responsibilities with full integrity and sense of responsibility.
He said that regular attendance of doctors and staff in basic health centers (BHUs) and other medical centers should be ensured, the series of surprise inspections would be made more effective and immediate action to be taken wherever absence or negligence is found.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>He said that the public should not face any difficulties in getting treatment and timely and quality medical facilities should be ensured to every patient.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the District Health Officer to ensure continuous and uninterrupted supply of emergency medicines in all the Primary health centers of the district.
He especially emphasized that anti-snake venom (ASV) for the treatment of snake bites and anti-rabies vaccine (ARV) for the prevention of dog bites should be available in sufficient quantities at all times to counter any emergency situation, and immediate medical assistance could be provided to the affected people and precious human lives to be saved.
Abdul Razaq Khan Khajak said that in view of the summer and other weather conditions, health centers should be kept on high alert and availability of medicine stocks, medical equipment and staff should be ensured at all times.
He said that the health sector was directly related to human lives, so there was no room for negligence in it.
District Health Officer Dr. Muhammad Hassan Domki briefed the committee and said that steps were being taken to improve medical facilities across the district and full implementation of the instructions of the district administration is being ensured.
He assured that all available resources would be utilized to ensure availability of medicines in all health centers, attendance of medical staff and provision of better treatment to patients.
