Private schools directed to sign mandatory contract with teaching staff

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Feb, 2026) The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Private Schools Regulatory Authority has issued an official notification directing

all private schools across the province, including Peshawar to sign mandatory written contracts with their

teaching staff.

According to the notification on Monday, schools are now required to provide formal written agreements

to their teachers. The contracts must clearly outline employment terms, job responsibilities and

employee rights.

The authority stated that the initiative aims at protecting teachers’ rights and ensure transparency within

the private education sector.
