Price monitoring intensified in Lower Dir markets during Ramazan to ensure public relief

LOWER DIR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Mar, 2026) Authorities in Lower Dir have stepped up monitoring of food prices and quality in local markets to provide relief to the public during the holy month of Ramazan.

Acting on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Arif Khan, Additional Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Janbaz Ahmad conducted visits to various bazaars and commercial areas across the district.

During the inspections, officials checked the prices and quality of essential food items. Several bakeries, storage facilities, shops and tandoors were also inspected to ensure compliance with official regulations.

Traders were briefed about the directives of the provincial government regarding the sale of food items at prescribed rates and maintaining proper hygiene standards.

Officials warned that strict legal action would be taken against violators found involved in overpricing or maintaining poor sanitary conditions.
