Price Control Magistrates reviews Ramadan relief measures

ATTOCK, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Mar, 2026) Price Control Magistrates held a high-level meeting led by chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Attock, Aneel Saeed, to review prices of essential commodities during the holy month of Ramadan.

During the meeting, Price Control Magistrates from all tehsils presented their performance reports. ADC (G) Aneel Saeed directed that, following the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and Deputy Commissioner Attock Rao Atif Raza, the price control mechanism across the district must be further strengthened to provide maximum relief to the public.

He emphasized that few elements attempt to exploit the situation through illegal profiteering.

He declared zero tolerance toward such elements. He directed the magistrates to conduct daily field visits of markets and Ramadan Bazaars to ensure strict adherence of official price lists.

Aneel Saeed added that the availability of vegetables, fruits, flour, sugar, and pulses should be fixed. He warned that individuals involved in overcharging, hoarding, or profiteering would face severe legal action, including heavy fines and the sealing of their business.

He concluded by reaffirming the district administration’s commitment to maintaining a robust monitoring system throughout the holy month to protect the interests of the common man.
