ATTOCK, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Feb, 2026) An important meeting of District Price Control Magistrates was convened in Attock on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner General Aneel Saeed, bringing together officers from various relevant departments to review market oversight measures. The session focused on ensuring the strict implementation of government directives, while reinforcing the administration’s resolve to stabilise prices across the district.

During the meeting, the ADCG directed officials to guarantee the availability of essential commodities at government-notified rates, emphasising that immediate legal action must be taken against violators. He warned that shopkeepers found charging inflated prices would face promptly enforced penalties, thereby sending a clear message of zero tolerance.

Moreover, he described public relief as the government’s foremost priority, stating that negligence would be dealt with firmly and decisively.

In addition, Mr Saeed instructed magistrates to intensify market inspections and monitoring mechanisms to curb profiteering. Regular visits, he noted, must be conducted consistently and effectively, so that relief measures translate into tangible benefits for citizens.

Officials present at the session reaffirmed their determination to enforce price regulations across Attock district. Meanwhile, the district administration signalled that enforcement drives would continue rigorously, as authorities seek to maintain stability in local markets and protect the public from undue financial burden.
