Price control drive continues in Gujrat

GUJRAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Feb, 2026) Price control magistrates have been conducting extensive operations across the district since

the start of Ramazan-ul-Mubarak to ensure implementation of official price lists and provide

relief to consumers.

According to an official report, a total of 5,761 inspections were carried out at various markets and

business outlets across the district. During the campaign, 2,105 violations of price control regulations

were detected.

The authorities imposed fines on 132 violators and recovered a total amount of Rs 803,000.

The district administration stated that price control measures were being further strengthened to ensure

strict compliance with government-notified rates and to facilitate the public during the holy month

of Ramazan.
