HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Feb, 2026) On the directives of the Commissioner, Hyderabad Division, Fayyaz Hussain Abbasi, the price control campaign continued in full force on the fifth day of Ramadan.
The district administration visited various markets, vegetable and fruit markets, grocery stores and other business centers to ensure the supply of daily necessities at official prices and action was taken against those involved in profiteering. During 188 inspections in Hyderabad district, 66 violations were found, on which a fine of Rs. 75,500 was imposed while 32 warnings were issued.
During 76 inspections in Jamshoro district, 14 violators were fined 13,600 rupees and 29 warnings were given.
71 inspections were conducted in Thatta district, 26 violations were reported and a fine of Rs.27,000 was imposed.
During 98 inspections in district Sajawal, 3 violations were found, a fine of 4 thousand 300 rupees was imposed while 38 warnings were issued. In district Badin, 96 inspections were made and a fine of 15 thousand 300 rupees was imposed on 22 violations.
Similarly, during 162 inspections in district Dadu, a fine of 13 thousand 800 was imposed on 53 violations and
29 warnings were issued, 9 thousand 500 rupees fine and 35 warnings were given as a result of 15 violations on 74 inspections in district Matari, 19 thousand 600 rupees fined on 18 violations during 201 inspections and 16 warnings were issued while 7 thousand rupees fine was issued on 8 violations during 43 inspections in district Tando Muhammad Khan.
And 6 warings were given
1009 inspections were conducted in Hyderabad Division, 225 violations were reported, one lakh 85 thousand 600 rupees fine was imposed and 193 warnings were issued. Commissioner Hyderabad Division Fayyaz Hussain Abbasi has instructed all deputy commissioners to keep a close eye on the supply and prices of food items during Ramadan so that the citizens do not suffer in any way.
