President Zardari pays tribute to Captain Sarwar Shaheed

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Jul, 2026) President Asif Ali Zardari paid tribute to Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed (Nishan-e-Haider) on his 78th martyrdom anniversary.

In a statement, he said Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed set an abiding example of duty, bravery and patriotism by sacrificing his life for the freedom of Kashmir.

Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed created a chapter in national history that future generations will always remember with respect and pride, he said adding martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the defence of Pakistan are a valuable asset of the nation.

"The name of Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed, the first recipient of Nishan-e-Haider of Pakistan, will always remain alive among those great sons who set an example of unforgettable sacrifice for the nation," he added.
