Preparations for Dragon Boat Festival enter final stage

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Jun, 2026) The district administration has finalized arrangements to ensure the successful holding of Dragon Boat Festival on June 14 at Sardaryab on River Kabul.

The first ever festival of its kind in the country is organized by Chinese cultural center China Window Peshawar, as part of celebrations marking the 75th anniversary of Pak-China friendship,

Additional Deputy Commissioner Peshawar, Reena Abbasi Friday visited the event venue and reviewed the preparations.

She directed the concerned authorities to provide all possible facilities and support to the participants taking part in the boat race.

More than 100 paddlers and boat racers are expected to participate in this historic competition, making it a landmark event in promoting cultural exchange and friendship between Pakistan and China.
