Practical steps to be taken for special persons' welfare: DC

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Feb, 2026) A delegation of persons with disabilities on Tuesday called on Deputy Commissioner South Waziristan Upper

Asmatullah Wazir to apprise him of their issues.

According to the administration during the meeting, the delegation highlighted challenges related to the welfare

of persons with disabilities, access to government services, medical treatment, financial assistance, and

employment opportunities.

Members of the delegation said that persons with disabilities in the district were encountering multiple obstacles in accessing basic facilities and require special attention from the district administration.

The DC assured the delegation that effective coordination would be established with the relevant departments to

address their issues.

He said that practical steps would be taken, within available resources, to reduce the difficulties faced by persons

with disabilities.

He added that the district administration would continue to prioritize the welfare of persons with disabilities and extend full cooperation to resolve their legitimate concerns, enabling them to play a dignified and active role in society.
