LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Feb, 2026) Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) Chairman Moazzam Iqbal Sipra and Pakistan Revenue Automation Limited (PRAL) Chief Executive Officer Faisal Sattar here Tuesday reviewed ongoing digital initiatives and technical coordination between the two organizations.
The meeting focused on key areas including digital invoicing, tax return filing systems and resolution of technical challenges related to PRA’s operational framework. Both sides discussed measures to enhance system efficiency and ensure seamless service delivery to taxpayers.
It was agreed to increase development resources and further strengthen the data center infrastructure and applications to support PRA’s expanding digital footprint.
The Chairman emphasized the need to develop a comprehensive framework for establishing a real-time tax collection system through cashless billing mechanisms.
He noted that preparation of an authentic and verified database, along with effective integration with the Federal board of Revenue (FBR) database, would significantly enhance tax revenue and improve compliance.
The Chairman further highlighted that IT-based reforms are essential to accelerate e-registration in Punjab’s services sector and promote transparency and efficiency in operational matters.
He stated that effective implementation of reform initiatives during the current fiscal year has already resulted in a notable increase in tax collection, reflecting the positive impact of digitization and institutional strengthening measures.
