HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd May, 2026) A local leader of Pakistan Peoples Party, Ishrat Mughal, and her son Aqib Mustafa Samo, have secured bail from Sindh High Court in the February 15 FIR of 3 deaths of hotel staff caused in a road accident in Hyderabad.
According to details, the Hyderabad Circuit Bench granted interim bail to the petitioners till May 25 with the directions to surrender before the trial court.
"Without touching merits of the case, applicants are granted protective bail till May 25," the order reads.
The petitioners were ordered to submit sureties of Rs30,000 each.
Their counsel, advocate Ayatullah Khwaja, contended that they had been implicated in the case with malafide intention and ulterior motive.
The Cantt police had registered an FIR of the killing of 3 hotel staff in an accident with an unknown double cab vehicle in the wee hours of February 15 on the complaint of Ameenul Wahab Syed, brother of one of the deceased Akhtar Wahab Syed.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>He stated that his brother, accompanied with 3 other workers, was returning home after closing their eatery, Pizza Host and Spicy in Naseem Nagar area of Qasimabad, when their 2 motorbikes were hit by an over speeding double cab.
The accident had occurred on the Wadhu Wah road on its stretch between Defence phase II and Shahbaz Building and the driver had escaped with the vehicle.
Syed added that all the injured were shifted to Liaquat University Hospital where his brother, Aleem Samejo and Naseer Mangrio breathed their last one after the other while Shafique sustained critical wounds.
The postmortem of all the deceased was conducted in the LUH.
The complainant said a coloured double cab which was not carrying a registration number plate had hit the deceased and its driver could not be identified by the victims.
For almost 3 months the suspects eluded their arrest as the police also remained tight lipped about identification of the driver.
