PPP Human Rights Cell delegation visits Iranian embassy, expresses condolences

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Mar, 2026) A delegation of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Human Rights Cell Thursday visited the Iranian Embassy in Islamabad to express condolences over the martyrdom of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Syed Ali Khamenei and other civilians.

The delegation included senior PPP leader Farhatullah Babar, Malaika Raza and Member of the National Assembly Shehla Raza, said a news release.

During the visit, the delegation conveyed sympathy and solidarity with the people of Iran during this difficult time.

Speaking on the occasion, Farhatullah Babar strongly condemned attacks on civilians, saying that targeting citizens and children is unacceptable under any circumstances.

He also termed the attack on a girls’ school a crime against humanity.

Malaika Raza paid tribute to the resilience and courage of the Iranian people in the face of challenging circumstances, while MNA Shehla Raza emphasized the need for unity and justice within the Muslim world.

The PPP delegation reiterated the party’s commitment to the principles of peace, human rights and humanity.

Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Dr. Reza Amiri Moghadam, thanked the PPP delegation for visiting the embassy and expressing solidarity with the Iranian people.

He said that Pakistan and Iran share long-standing and strong brotherly relations.

Farhatullah Babar, Malaika Raza, and Shehla Raza also recorded their condolences in the visitors’ book at the Iranian Embassy.

The Iranian ambassador also appreciated Shehla Raza’s recent speech in Parliament, describing it as a principled stance.
