Polio eradication campaign launched in Musakhail

MUSAKHAIL, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th May, 2026) Deputy Commissioner (DC) Musakhail, Abdul Razzaq Khan Khajjak, inaugurated the district-wide anti-polio campaign at the District Emergency Operations Center (DEOC) by administering drops to a child. The ceremony was attended by District Health Officer Dr Muhammad Hassan Domki, Deputy DHO Dr Nadir Khan, and other officials.

Speaking at the event, the DC emphasized that the government is utilizing all available resources to protect children from the crippling disease of polio. He declared that eliminating polio is both a national and moral responsibility, and stressed that negligence during the campaign will not be tolerated.

He urged parents to ensure that all children under five years of age receive the vaccine, safeguarding future generations from disability. He added that strict security arrangements have been made, with personnel accompanying vaccination teams to guarantee a peaceful and successful campaign.

The DC directed officials to ensure maximum coverage across the district, reiterating that every child must be reached. He appealed to parents, religious scholars, and community leaders to fully cooperate with polio teams and encourage vaccination, noting that collective efforts are essential to secure a polio-free future.
