Polio Campaign Intensified in Abbottabad; Officials Actively Monitor Field Operations

ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Apr, 2026) District authorities on Thursday have intensified efforts to ensure effective monitoring, enhanced security, and improved service delivery during the ongoing anti-polio campaign.

On the third day of the campaign, Assistant Commissioner Abbottabad, Afrasiab Zubair Hundal, conducted field visits to review the performance of polio teams. He monitored their activities, assessed security arrangements, and personally administered polio drops to children. During his visits to various schools, he met with school administrations and ensured that children who had been missed were vaccinated.

Meanwhile, Additional Assistant Commissioner Kamran Ali Shah, Additional Assistant Commissioner Haveliyaan Sameera Mehsud, and Additional Assistant Commissioner Afshan Rehman also remained active in the field. They inspected educational institutions, supervised polio teams, and administered polio drops to children to ensure maximum coverage.

As part of the campaign running from April 13 to April 19, Deputy Commissioner Sarmad Saleem Akram visited the cantonment area and Harnu transit points. He reviewed the ongoing vaccination process, checked official records, and administered polio drops to children.
