Police vehicle targeted in Lakki blast, no casualty

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Jun, 2026) A police vehicle was targeted in an explosion near Ghazni Khel Adda in the district of Lakki Marwat, however all personnel aboard the vehicle remained unharmed.

Police informed on Friday, the blast occurred when an improvised explosive device (IED) planted in a motorcycle parked along the roadside exploded as a police armored personnel carrier (APC) passed through the area.

Police said the armored vehicle sustained the attack without any loss of life or injuries. Following the incident, security measures in the area were intensified and law enforcement agencies launched an investigation to identify and apprehend those responsible.

Police have cordoned off the area and are collected evidence for investigation.
