Police tighten security for Youm-e-Ali: DIG Larkana

LARKANA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Mar, 2026) Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Larkana, Nisar Aftab on Tuesday said security orders issued with strict measures for 21st Ramadan, Youm-e-Shahadat Ali (R.A.), in Larkana Division.

According to the security orders, a total of 9,240 police officers and personnel would perform duties to provide security for 185 Majalis and 48 processions within the five districts of the Larkana Range. All processions and Majalis have been made secure and peaceful on the occasion of Youm-e-Ali (R.A.), he added.

He added that police patrolling and pickets would be placed especially around mosques, Imambargahs, and the venues of Majalis.

All mourning processions originating from the five districts of Larkana Range and the routes of Majalis would be monitored through CCTV cameras.Before the start of all mourning processions and Majalis, the routes would be searched and swept by the Bomb Disposal Squad.Control Rooms have also been established within the five districts, including the Range Office Larkana.

An alternative traffic route plan has been devised for the convenience of citizens, so that in case of any emergency, citizens do not face any difficulty in reaching hospitals or commuting for any other work.
