Police thwart cross-border drone attack, security heightened

KOHAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Mar, 2026) The district police successfully neutralized four hostile drones launched from across the Afghan border, effectively foiled an attempt by anti-state elements to disrupt the peace.

District Police Officer (DPO) Shahbaz Elahi reported that drones were intercepted and disabled using modern anti-drone technology. He confirmed that there were no casualties or damage to property during the incident.

He emphasized that police, security agencies, and public remain united and vigilant in defending the country. He said that every attempt to infiltrate or harm Pakistani soil has been met with defeat.

He said that the nation's institutions and citizens stand shoulder-to-shoulder to safeguard stability. He warned that any future threats to peace would be met with an equally swift and decisive response.

To ensure continued safety, DPO issued public advisory urging citizens to immediately report any suspicious drone sightings to DPO Complaint Cell or via official landline numbers 0922-920131, 920015 and 0316-9700700.

He also appealed to residents to limit unnecessary outdoor movement, explaining that excessive noise and traffic from vehicles can make it harder for security forces to detect drone activity.
